Aerotek: Hardware design engineer


This is a À-Plein-Temps position in Richmond, QC posted mai 17, 2020.

Our client develops tracking systems for high value goods.

They will be working on a new product developing tests for that new product they’ll be working on an offender tracker.

The tracker is fundamentally a cellphone but waterproof and has panic detectors, dead body detectors, among other features.

They’re in the last phase of automating the audio testing.

This person would review schematics, pcb layout, work on bring up boards that come out of the factory.

Majority of the role is working on testing the design, which includes power cycling the unit, temperature testing, environmental testing.

They would be working very closely with the hardware engineer who is located out of Ottawa.

This would mostly be a testing role to start, but has the career path for this individual to get more involved with the hardware design.They carry RF products that operates with cellphones, wifi and bluetooth.

Engineering will design product and we’ll want to bring the PCB up.

We need technology that will take this board, and use framework that we want this individual to carry.

They use spectrum analyzer for debugging.

And they use digital storage oscilloscope.

Those are two prime candidates to carry board debugging and testingMUST HAVES: 3+ years exp working with microprocessors Has done board board bring up from scratch how many times has he brought up board from scratch.

We want someone whose done it at least 5times Full fluency using sophisticated test equipment like programmable loads, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes Understanding of communication protocols for I2C or SPI.

Don’t have to be able to program.
